Amazon: Audible Experience Redesign

Experience Redesign

Audible users needed a better way to discover new content in the app across its multiple platforms. On top of this, a visual overhaul was long overdue. I worked on a number of features to create a richer, more valuable experience for users across multiple mobile device and tablet platforms.

More Features, Multiple Platforms

I worked with Audible to update the visual design of their app and create the "Discover" section, where users can explore thousands of titles available in the Audible catalog.

Once the section was set into place, I helped build upon the rest of the app, expanding it into an in-depth audiobook experience for users on multiple mobile and tablet platforms: iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Amazon Fire Phone.

Users can listen to audiobooks from their Audible library, check out recommendations, listen to samples before purchase, and view their reading stats. The Audible user base spans a wide range of people listening on the train, in their car, at the gym, or as they go to bed at night.

I worked with a team to ideate new features that would enhance a user’s experience with the app,  see them through to simple wireframes, then, as my main focus, create high fidelity, final designs for each section. This involved laying out the visual aspects of the interface and creating smooth page flows and interactions. Through animated prototypes and user testing, we were able to see which aspects worked and which needed to be improved upon.
